Agreement for use

Before using the “Sendai Tanabata Festival – - Tanzaku Votive Notes” (hereafter, the “Service”) offered by the Sendai Tanabata Festival Committee, please read the terms of use stated below, and use the Service only if you consent to all of the the terms. Using the service shall be taken as consent to all the following terms. If you are unable to consent to all of the terms, we ask that you please refrain from using the Service.

Temporary Interruption to or Permanent Discontinuation of Service

All or part of the Service may be temporarily interrupted or permanently discontinued without prior notice. Following a discontinuation, the tanzaku (strips of paper) on which wishes have already been written through using the Service will not be viewable, even by Service users who wrote them. Moreover, the Sendai Tanabata Festival Committee bears no responsibility for any damage suffered by any Service user or third party as a result of a Service interruption or discontinuation.

Change in Content of Service

Please note that the Service content posted on this website is subject to change without notice.

Prohibited Actions and Denial of Service

In using the Service, individuals are prohibited from doing the following.

  • Using indecent language, cruel language or other language that is objectionable for any third party
  • Stalking or otherwise harassing a third party
  • Violating the good name, trust, right to privacy, copyrights, image rights, or any other rights of the Sendai Tanabata Festival Committee or of any third party
  • Advertising, publicity or other commercial or promotional activities
  • Distributing junk mail, spam or chain letters, or sending or inserting a computer virus, computer code, file or program designed to impede, destroy or restrict the functions of computer software, computer hardware or communications equipment
  • Impersonating somebody else
  • Harming a minor
  • Any act linked to criminal activity
  • Violating the law or acting contrary to public order and morals
  • Any other action, besides those mentioned above, deemed inappropriate by the Sendai Tanabata Festival Committee

If the Sendai Tanabata Festival Committee judges that a user has committed one of the abovementioned prohibited actions or some other inappropriate action, the tanzaku in question may be subject to deletion. Moreover, the Committee will not bear any obligation to explain the reason for any deletion to the user

Disclaimers

The Sendai Tanabata Festival Committee takes every care with posting information for the Service; however, it does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, safety, usefulness, etc., of the information, programs, services, or anything else related to the Service. The Sendai Tanabata Festival Committee shall in no event be liable for any damage resulting from problems with software or hardware, from trouble between Service users or between a user and a third party, or from any other trouble caused by using the Service. Moreover, the Committee shall not be held liable for any deletion of tanzaku.

Copyrights and Other Intellectual Property Rights Related to the Service

The Sendai Tanabata Festival Committee owns the copyrights and other intellectual property rights, as well as the use rights and other rights, for all copyrighted works and information provided through the Service. Users are forbidden from using these for other than personal purposes, and from appropriating or reproducing all or any part of them as is or in an altered form regardless of the medium or means employed in doing so.

Revision of Terms of Use

These terms of use may be changed without notice as a result of changes in the Service or technology, Please check for any updates to these terms, made as required.
